It would hurt his balsa wood Knees, he can't play long stretches anymore.

The Knicks tried that last season giving him 20 a game and he broke down after a month or so. While I'm sure 20 minutes a night would get his game back to a better place faster, he would be back on the injured list by the time he was playing well.
