Why do people get mad at waiters for wanting/expecting tips?

You’re walked into that business knowing the person serving you gets paid less than minimum wage and relies on tips.

If you hate the business model that much then stop eating at those establishments

Get the fukk outta with this self absorbed bullsh!t and fukk ANYBODY that think i OWE them a fukking tip just for DOING THEIR GOTDAMN JOB

A JOB THEY APPLIED TO DO KNOWING FULL WELL HOW THEY GET PAID

You’re out of touch with fukking reality if you think a person who doesn’t like to tip shouldn’t go out to eat. I’m responsible for paying for my food not nobody’s gotdamn bills

But do i tip? Yes when it is deserved

But i will NEVER agree to this pathetic brainless underlying idea that I’m SUPPOSED to

I don't get mad at tipping, but I don't empathize with them when they complain about how much they get tipped.

I tip the barber heavy because i can't cut my own hair (well). I tip waiters the basic 18-20% because I can easily go up and get the food myself. I don't think they add much value.

The service industry is really shady when it comes to employees. Sometimes tips are the only $$ servers see but some joints make the servers pay bouncer/chefs with their tip in the form of tip outs. The business model needs to change many businesses are taking advantage of their employees. I tip appropriately. If i dont have enough i dont go out too eat. Leave your broke ass at home.

But how the fukk is that ANYBODYS FAULT but the dumbass who has no choice in life but to work there? It isn’t, that’s how mf!

And i will go out to eat with just enough to pay for my food with MY HARD EARNED MONEY FROM MY REAL JOB and I’ll be fukking damned if some c*ntbag or bleeding heart faggett gonna make me feel obligated to “tip” them.

They can Eat several d!cks.

i don't get mad at them wanting a tip. i get annoyed at them getting mad for not getting a tip they feel entitled to. the tip being optional is technically part of the business model. the waiter should be mad at the business.
This. I should never be able to visibly tell that a waitress/waiter is upset about not getting a tip. They know what they signed up for when they applied for the job.

Because they are broke. If you pump faking on the tip then you shouldn't be dining out to begin with. Everybody six feet and six cert but don't tip their servers :patrice:

It's my money I work for and if I don't feel like tipping I don't have too. A lot of shytty restaurants owners don't even give their employees the right tips anyways. Unless its cash in their pockets most employees will get screwed out of tips by the owners.

Says who though? Is it a law that you have to tip? I mean, I try to tip every time but you're telling me that because somebody took a job paying minimum wage I'm obligated to tip them to counter-balance their pay? You sound crazy

Shouldn’t the actual wait staff be angry at the establishment?
Yes but they scared to buck the establishment. They prefer to snipe their microaggressions at the patrons for not supplementing their income.

I tip heavy. Shows the universe.....blah blah blah

:mindblown: WTF are you talking about? "Show the universe?".............You're making a transaction but only in the USA are you supposed to magically jump into mental gymnastics and leave charity for services already rendered. :snoop:

I preferred living in Southern Europe where the only TIP I had to worry about is the tip sliding into a Eurasmus student. :blessed:

I never understood this. I mean the whole concept of tiping is that it's optionnal : if it's not, just include that in the price and that's it. Here in Europe if your food costs 12 euros you pay 12 euros. Service is already included in the price. IF YOU WANT you can leave a tip, I usually do it if the waiter was nice/cool/quick/whatever, because I consider that an additionnal service. But if he/she's is just doing his job, prob not. And no one gets mad if you don't, since no one EXPECTS a tip. Because it's a tip, not a salary.

The issue i have is the concept of tipping

If person A gets a chicken meal they pay 10, (for numbers sake) 10% says 1 dollar tip

If person B gets a steak dinner for 20 (again for numbers sake) 10% says 2 dollar tip

The waiter/waitress worked no harder for either order, but some how I’m supposed to tip more

With that said, i tip an amount, based on service and requirements, if I’m steady asking for shyt and you come through i got you, if not....

You gon have the :wtf: face when you look at the tip

On everything i love I’m ready to tip like this

I tip but I can't wait for the day tipping is no longer the norm in the US. Too many problems so that businesses don't have to pay their employees.

The funny thing about it all is both the waiters, by and large, and customers hate the tipping system yet we still practice it because we allow businesses to dictate
