Why do people hate on anime

Not gonna lie I was guilty of it too but I after watching a few anime shows since being stuck inside (coronavirus) I've realized that anime ain't that bad . Anime gets a bad rep because people automatically associate it with porn and or kids shows such as naruto, one peace etc.
Some of my favorites so far: Code geass, full metal alchemist, cowboy bebop, phantom requiem for the phantom.
Not I tried watching the anime that most people like and fell asleep

I'm considering rewatching the entire Fist of the north star series from beginning to end at work next week.

I saw Travis Scott talking about a One Piece marathon. The days of anime being just for weirdos has been over for a while.

I mostly watch anime for the plot. The anime that you are talking about are the mainstream shytty anime. I agree with you those are trash. The anime that I posted are my favorites because they have an interesting plot and characters.
