My only problem with walmart is the checkout. They have like 30 cash registers but only like 4 be open. But besides that it's cool.
That's annoying. Like i can understand not having very many open when it's near closing time, or the dead of night for those that are open 24/7. But i've gone in the afternoon and they've only a had a couple lanes open.

Here's why:

The Walton's, collectively, are worth over $150 Billion :francis:. Yet they can't have more than two registers open after midnight?:pacspit:

I mean I hear the same cliche all the time about Walmart kills small businesses and what not, but I look at it like this: Which is likely to hire me if I really need a job, Walmart or Joe Shmoes small retail store?

Walmart, Papa Johns, Taco Bell, Olive Garden, 7 Eleven, Pep Boys etc. I'd rather support a place that's willing to give me a job over some place that's not.

On top of that Walmart is mad convenient and they have great prices.:blessed:

Think about all the businesses that are consolidated into one Wal-mart. Just off the top of my head it would replace a small grocery store, toy store, hardware store, and pharmacy. Even now its replacing eyewear and auto care centers. All of those businesses had owners and managers, each of those are good paying jobs. Wal-mart eliminates all those jobs and replaces them with positions at or near minimum wage.

If there was no Wal-Mart and your pops or a relative owned a small hardware store you wouldn't have to worry about someone hiring you for minimum wage, they would look out for you, bring you on at a decent wage, and groom you to either take over or run your own store. Futhermore if you work for a smaller mom and pop type place for a while they are more likely to do everything they can to work with you if any issues pop up, with Wal-Mart man they pushing people out the door left and right. Even if you dont fukk up if you near the top salary wise they waiting to replace you.

As it is now if you own a store that sells a product that Wal-Mart carries you need to be a couple notches higher quality wise than them. For example if you selling bikes you cant sell the type Wal-Mart carries you need to carry the enthusiast level bikes and cater to that market, which is a lot smaller than if you could sell to everyone.
