Theme is fire tooBecause they're charismatic, they're entertaining, and they have good chemistry as a team. Basically the main reasons why any crowd would like a tag team.

maybe their thick accent and their guido schtick is still a novelty to the hillbilly marks who aren't from here but as a native new yawker i just dont find them all that amusing.
they're the same exact thing every week and they're both terrible in the ring.
and their references are corny
They don't even strike me as guys from New York as much as they have this Jersey Shore trash thing going on. When they are hot, they are hot on the mic, but they've been more misses than hits lately.

Enzo holds the crowd and has them hanging on everything he says plus unlike half the people you listed he doesn't trip over his words half the time.
Nothing against Big Ass and Enzo Amore, but after the entrance they've come out to crickets with their promos unless they are naming stuff and then say, "How you doin'?" and then "There's only ONE word to describe you and I'm going to spell it out for you!"

Why did anyone like the Godfather, New Age Outlaws, or Rikishi & Too Cool in the Attitude Era... shyt, some MFs woulda never gotten over at all if it wasn't for their ability to talk or how obnoxious their character was. Nobody has a favorite Godfather match.
