Easy. They're skits.
Have you ever watched Dave's standup? A lot of his material sheds light on issues affecting the African American community (i.e potrayal in the media, police, etc.) in a funny way.
You're kind of reaching here, Dave thought his skits were really just fun and entertainment (he's a comedian, for god sakes) until he realized at a specific show there was one cac audience member was laughing harder than everyone in the room. You know, it's like hanging out with that one person that you alway thought was really your friend and there for you but they're secretly plotting against you.
