Why do people not care that someone else is in the public bathroom?

If I have to go I don't care I'll go. What I hate is when there's someone in the other stall and they don't move or make a noise and just wait for you to finish even if they got there first

Here's my routine:

*Walks in Bathroom



*Checks under the stalls to see who shytting or not

Oh, there's no one in here





..A minute later

*Hears nefarious sound in the distance

Wait, what was that?



*hears someone walk indiscriminately into the stall next to me



*Sees the brown construction work boots with cement stains on them



fukking great!



*Struggles to hold bowels in until one is alone again



*Gives up a minute in a quietly strains and hopes the stool hits the porcelain and not the water

For me it's more of a comfort thing. It's therapeutic to sit in a dim bathroom in your palace, meditate and bask in the ambiance of your funk. I like to avoid public restrooms whenever possible but this past summer when i was interning something came over me in the morning and I had to go. Went to the bathroom, I see 3 stalls and 3 cacs with their pants on the floor and I'm like Went down two floors to an empty spot

I'VE CHANGED SINCE BEING IN THE HOSPITAL. DOING COMPLETELY EMBARRASSING THINGS IN FRONT OF STRANGERS KINDA MAKES IT NOT THAT SERIOUS ANYMORE.

When dropping a deuce. If I need to and I see someone else is in the stall, unless its a pants ruining emergency, I go to another floor or come back in a few minutes. CACs just come right in and start They don't even try to let them out quietly. Just now, I was in there and two people came in and set down in the other stalls.

This disturbs me. What gives.

In college, when I lived on campus, I would just get up extra early for my 1st class. Bathrooms spotless, no one else around. Either that or the middle of the night. Good times.
