Because you're new. I got negged too, but it bothered me not being able to neg back so I tried to stay in the green but inevitably back to the red I'd go. Now it doesn't bother me anymore.

People will neg you because they're too lazy to articulate their opinion (this one still bugs me once in a while), other times because they really disagree with what you've said (you can't be mad at this) and other times because they're butt-hurt (you really can't be mad at this one )
