Why do people on The Coli seem out of touch or hate anything that’s popular

I ran across a post that said no one outside of crips from Cali wear chuck taylors, and that post was followed up suggesting only cacs wear chucks.

That prompted this thread :yeshrug:
Because, it's thecoli and the internet, everything is worse and brought to light on the internet where in real life it may not be that bad or even non-existent. It's all about perspective, if you lived in the hood for years and never went out to do anything that statement in the OP isn't exactly far-fetched.

Chucks had resurgence when Wiz came back, now they are looked at the "fun" shoes white hipster and trendy white people wear or moms and dads who want to look cool and chic.

This is another issue that’s needs to be addressed to the coli or black folks in general. The idea that something isn’t popular because some dudes in the hood aren’t rocking it.

with that being said I got into an argument with a dude on Facebook under a Jay Z post (north vs south) who said nobody visits Boston and that Memphis is a more popular travel location. Dude was writing in caps and swore he was speaking facts.

No! He was completely wrong and decided to argue anyway instead of just simply googling the info
perspective, that being said Boston is a large array of entertainment, education and economic places of interest compared to memphis
