Why do people question vegetarians and vegans?

and then have the nerve to defend cruelty as if we brought it up. I went out to eat last night and one of the folks questioned my whole diet. I didnt bring it up at all, just ordered my tofu and ate my kale . I even politely said I don't think my diet is propee dinner time convo. You carnivores, somd of you, are something else. Asking a vegan why they are vegan is like a white person asking to touch a black person's hair.

I used to be like that when I first became vegan because it felt like I was onto something and there was some dogmatism going on which led to that. I don't know though. I don't even tell people what they should be doing because truth be told "vegan" is not a product you buy at the store. Nikkaz will be starchtarians eating refined pasta, chips, white bread, and lots of processed junk vegan food and then when they're suddenly feeling ill or whatever they'll say it was being vegan that caused it which makes no sense.
