Also: While it might not have been a factor in this incident, team jerseys sometimes take on sociopolitical connotations as well; Like Barcelona and Athletic Blibao as symbols of Catalan and Basque identity, respectively, or the Glasgow Old Firm, the NorCal/SoCal beef and related teams etc
