Indiana
Cavs need to do the right thing and draft McLemore and have Irving's backcourt mate for years to come.

At a certain point nikkas actually have to start paying dividends. There is a slippery slope between loading up on lottery picks and building towards a contender (OKC) and loading up on lottery picks because you keep ending up in the lottery because those nikkas aren't panning out (D. Miles/Odom and co. Clippers). This ain't the NFL...loading up on young talent don't mean shyt. It's all about having the right talent. Beyond that the cap room ain't shyt because Kyrie is gonna take a nice-size chunk out of that real soon and Cleveland isn't exactly a destination. Beyond that it's gonna get to a point where they hope nikkas don't pan out because I'm not sure how willing Gilbert is to pay the luxury tax. If you have 4 max guys (which is what you are generally hoping to get with top 5 picks) you are gonna be paying a ridiculous tax and then you got this repeater shyt they have coming. If Gilbert is on some :manny: Prokorhav (I know I butcherd that shyt :patrice:) type shyt then it's a non-issue. But I doubt most owners are in this to lose money and everybody doesn't have huge revenue streams to take that hit.

Gilbert is rich as fukk and he's willing to spend. He's taken on Baron Davis and Luke Walton's contracts.

shyt actually panned out for them. That Baron trade netted them Kyrie. And the Sessions trade with the Lakers got them the #19 pick this year.

:comeon: There is a BIIIIIIIIIIIIG difference between taking on those contracts under the old luxury tax and possibly 4 max deals under the new, far more punitive tax. I don't doubt his willingness to wheel and deal but this new tax is :whoo:. If he's willing to deal with it then more power to him.
