I love drake as a rapper, he’s one of my all time favorites but he came into the rap game with a fake tough guy persona that everybody could see. I mean he’s a Jewish kid from Toronto that was in a sitcom but he broke into the scene on some ,I’m the man shyt. That’s gone to rub people the wrong way in a art form that’s been traditionally about toughness.It's very true. Lol.
Look at rappers and shyt. Drake was clowned until he got the Wayne stamp. I remember SOHH clowning him for years.
I just think thats how a certain segment was raised.
I mean look at Kanye when he dropped, he was accepted for the most part because he wasn’t faking about anything. He was rapping his real life and hood dudes didn’t hate him for it
