Why do people who stan a console open threads dedicated about the opposing console?

ive never understood why a real gamer wouldnt just buy all the consoles and miss out on nothing, but its so odd when people dont own lets say an xbox they say they hate xbox but end up in forza2 threads, or overdrive threads? why? same goes fort hose that say they don't like ps4 n end up in ps4.

I don't remember the last time I been in the Forza thread or official Xbox thread. People will comment in typical everyday threads related to news on that specific game/console though.
