Why do people with no serious careers or family choose to stay in their shytty hometowns?

honestly i love being a new yorker but if our family werent all here and we werent so tight knit i would have been moved south.
my sister in law's brother lives in an apartment complex in texas in a gated community with a pool, parking, a park, day care, everything u need and he pays $900 a month for a 3 bedroom.
i pay 1200 a month for a 1 bedroom and all i got that is nice is a laundry in the basement and an elevator

Not as hard to relocate as you think. You can do it with just a stack.
Get to the city and stay in shelters for a while if you must. No big thing long as you don't have kids. But there are women who do it and have kids.
