compared to say their 30s or 40s

it seems like the complete opposite of philosophy, where philosophers do their best work in their late 30s, early 40s

nall its easy to make your best work broke with only one choice either music or living on the street would u still work at your job if u was rich would u wake up every morning if u had millions in your pocket
This plus I think the richer and more successful you get it pulls you away from the things that made you appealing in the first place. You kind of lose touch even if you don't want to and now you have more options for success than just rap.

The best rappers are always teens or in their early 20's.

Just like the old Mobb, Nas, Pac & Wu was in the 90's.

cause they are living and breathing hip hop in their teens and early 20's, which is the target audience for rap music. once you 30+, younger actually, what you're into and what consumes your time changes drastically. jay-z while making Reasonable Doubt was probably doing a bunch of nothing all day, just putting rhymes together. jay-z while making Magna Carta got madd other sh!t he has to tend to before rhyming.

it's hunger

with time, you don't have as much hunger because there isn't as much a need for it as when you're young and trying to make it
