Bruh I saw so much bad in the hood coming up, I am glad I live on a boring, relatively peaceful side of Chicago now. I go down two blocks and i'm in my old neighborhood

The jobs in the hood....scarce and low paying. I wasn't able to get real work till I got a car and moved around, you guessed it, to other parts of the city and in the burbs.

now its regular White people there too.

And why do so many brehs pretend they still live there after they get their come up?

Why do so many people from the hood move to the suburbs the first chance they get?

1.Back when I was younger/teenager i seen the transition, Basically section 8 move to our street and terrorized the place, One time they had a full blown shootout in front of our house and people cars were shot up.
2.Some cats stay home all day scoping the scene > this is how most people get there homes and cars broking broken into, because they know when you are gone.
3.one time some cats took over the street and turned into a basketball court
4. somebody is always out side watching you 24/7

If nobody is fukking with you, i say stay

well didn't C-Murder stay in the projects despite being a millionaire? It's possible to stay in the hood and not become a victim.

i grew up in the hood and tbh the crime wasn't so bad. mostly, the dudes just wanted to deal their drugs in peace .

Now the school system are definitely a big reason to move to a different part of town.

This is a good question. Its not that bad if you're a single man just trying to do your shyt.

But at the same time it's kind of frustrating; mentally and emotionally. You see so many people struggling, people can't get jobs, people on drugs just to escape etc.. It's worse seeing kids growing up in such environments.

The hood wouldn't be that bad if you were living life in a vacuum

I live/own property in the hood. I don’t really mind it bc I don’t have kids. I don’t like the littering problem (garbage man don’t pick everything on the side of the road on trash day) and I don’t like when I’m driving ppl really just be walking in the middle of the street instead of the sidewalk

Crackheads
nikkas on the corner all night
Fiends in the avenue
Food desert
Trash, heroin and weed bags scattered on the ground
Cracks in pavement and sidewalk
Projects across the street from my house
Pitbull fights
Chinese store in corner
Papi store a block away
Cops patrolling hardcore and posting up for hours each day
Ratchet girls fighting
nikkas fighting
Shootings occurring often


The list goes on....

Many single family home communities have HOA fees. Especially if they share amenities like a pool, gym playgrounds, golf etc
