acting pays more. plus if it weren't for acting cats like LL Cool J would be 
for a good 15 years. same goes for ice-t.
also, if you're a rapper, wouldn't you rather have the guarunteed income of a tv show check and sleep in ur own bed every night than constantly tour to make money?
