A lot men don’t have the emotional intelligence to be able to handle rejection or things not going their way.

Those emotions go untethered and dudes get in the heat of passion and make bad decisions based on those temporary emotions.

This type of thinking isn’t just limited to men who harm women either.

A lot of adolescent boys and adult men don’t know how to manage their emotions and have zero impulse control and go do stupid shyt because some shyt got them in their feelings in the moment. Depending on the disparity of effort, the more committed person has already over-invested their money/reputation/time into the failed marriage
So the pressure to recoup is a big stressor
