Why do some of y'all feel proud for not voting?

?????? Just wondering. The voter turnouts in this country are fukking abysmal. I see people on here vigorously debating politics, but won't go vote I talk to people in the real world about voting and if they're not passionate about it, it's kind of whatever to them. This has boggled my mind since I was 18. Any insight?

People think that when they vote a pile of gold bars is supposed to grow under their asses and every wish of theirs will come true.
Then when it doesn't happen or God forbid, the candidate they voted for loses, then it's "fukk voting. Our votes don't count."
It only got worse when the woke community, then the credible Black media, picked up that sentiment and ran with it.
Because Obama didnt repair 400 years of oppression in 8 years, all of our problems are his fault and fukk voting because electoral collage, benign neglect, voting dont count, Obama is a tool of WS, etc...

I don't think anyone is "proud" of not voting. I think many people are showing "pride" that the fact that certain voting blocs are for the first time setting and keeping a standard for the baseline requirements needed to OBTAIN a vote. Since voting is a transaction process, some blocs are showing "pride" in no longer simply giving something and getting the nothing on the OPPOSITE END of the transaction.

you're not wrong with this... a lot of people think they are voting for gods to lord over them.... they feel that the politician has to be in agreement with them on every single issue to the nth degree.... one little slip up and the politician is cancelled forever....

i'm speaking anecdotally here, but i know a lot of people that were disappointed with obama... i mean, down and out in the gutter disappointed... because, like you said, they expected him to erase 400 years of oppression with the stroke of a pen....

i wasn't disappointed with obama at all... because when i voted for him, i never thought i was voting for a god... i was simply voting for a feeble man who was better than the feeble man running against him... the presidency is a job and i thought obama was better than mccain and romney for that job... i wasn't expecting ponies to start raining out of the sky....
