John 15:18-19 explains everything. They need a persecution narrative. Being hated confirms their belief system. It gets to the point where they'll act like a$$holes just to get people to push back, thus more validation.

Whenever those two topics come up I leave the room. They cause so much unnecessary bs when brought up
This is my biggest issues with religion and specifically christians. They think they have the right to impose their beliefs on everyone whether they asked for it or not. For them they are the hierarchy. All non christians are beneath them. In their minds they're saving people from damnation. No one outside of Christianity has ever done that to me. It's always christians.
The issue is NOT respecting people when they say they're not interested. Instead they keep going. That's when people get mad. It's not because they brought up religion. It's the I WANT to force it on you and you should let me attitude they have. Who wouldn't get mad at that? BFFR!
Unless I ask DON'T START TALKING RELIGION TO ME. That's the quickest way to get me enraged. I respect their beliefs but they don't respect others beliefs. I grew up in a baptist household, went to church every Sunday etc, I know what they're trying to do which is why it enrages me. They feel like it's their duty to convert as many people as possible to get their imaginary super christian badge. Like if they don't try to convert everyone they meet, god will send them to hell. HE WON'T.

Idk why most “christians” don’t seem to understand, you are not a preacher. Your preaching to people (even with your surface level understanding of the bible) turns people off to the message
Jesus didn’t just preach to people from my understanding… in fact, I don’t think he even started off by preaching to people. He showed them through actions and how he lived his life. He was about what he preached according to biblical records..

its important to understand that prophets are claiming to speak for God, and God said he brought out of the man "everything that is pleasant to the sight and good for food"
which means that every prophets words should be like food you can eat, and if it isnt, its a prophecy of formlessness and not of the holy breath
