I travel the world often, have a few homes, no debt, couple cars, and i get to be around the people most of coli gossip about like its nothing, my life without college is great

If you work as a set designer then you are a union worker. You have a union job in "the industry" and that really is not a big deal. I'm from LA and I know a LOT of people who work in the industry so I take none of that "I hang with the people you gossip about" stuff seriously. So what? Its like a security guard on Warner Bros lot trying to brag about seeing celebs everyday. No one cares.

And in all of your attempts at bragging you come across as EXTREMELY insecure....EXTREMELY.

The difference between you, Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg is that he was actually able to get into Harvard. Could you?

Because it opens up possibilities. Its true that you wont get anywhere without practical intelligence.. but college can be a great tool to build on your skills and ambitions. A college degree isnt a foundation though. Some people are mistaken in believing that..

All 35,000 ppl on a campus can't be STEM majors. I really get tired of hearing this shyt parroted over and over about picking bad majors? So is everyone in the country supposed to only do the same 5 jobs?

Yep, and anyone that isn't on welfare should work 9-6 every day and leave their kids to daycare to raise them :heh:

:aicmon: Majoring in art was the worst choice you ever made :camby:
Why would anyone major in art?

You want to know why he majored in art? It's because there's this notion that everyone MUST goto college, there's no other option. They never mention what you should or shouldn't do while there it's just the fact that you must go. So what is the result of that? People who have no business there majoring in bullshyt that shouldn't even be a major. Art, Communications, Sociology, Criminal Justice...I mean can we not see why people choose these majors that do nothing for you? Because they have no business there in the first place so naturally their going to choose the path of least resistance.

Not to mention. STEM fields are quite selective and rightfully so there's limited resources and having a shyt ton of people dilutes whatever education is going on. I know someone who won the fukking Bill Gate scholarship that didn't even get into their major of choice initially, they got deferred. So all of those who keep talking about picking "bad majors", well please name a "good major" that will allow 10s of thousands of people to enroll

IT is going to get oversaturated and going to have mad people get pissed at lower wages. There is no real good industry that is long lasting in America anymore.

Hmm continue working an exhausting $11 an hour graveyard shift warehouse job my whole life or finish my degree and get a starting salary of $50,000. Tough choice! :stopitslime:

nikkas talking about trade jobs, physical labor breaks your body down. Im 23 and in good shape but that labor is already taking a toll on me, the fukk do I look like being 40+ doing that kind of work. Get a degree, dont listen to these nikkas that have no plan in place. They are just preaching to a misguided choir.

Yeah it ain't college or 11 x hour. shyt I was making way more than that at 18 slangin t-mobile. And made over 50 by age 23 in the banking industry.

Let's not make it sound like you can't do better than 11 x hour with out college
