Why do streamers keep getting radicalized?

They always had it in them. You cultivate your audience.

Many people fake their true feelings or beliefs for money.
Why would you give up money just to spout wild shyt?

It's a fight that's not even worth fighting, because they're rich

It's not like they're fighting for civil rights or whatever

You have to be a bit of a narcissist to even get in the lane they’re in. Audience grows they become famous. With increased fame, comes more money and that narcissism grows. Eventually they say something people don’t like, and they heel turn. Fame becomes infamy. Then they start to feed off feeling the world is against them. Sneako is a good example of that…he started getting dinged all the time and just fed into that “you hate me, cause you ain’t me” mindset.

They start out mellow and slightly push it until they get "cancelled" banned etc, then they go all in. There's enough money in that manosphere/rw stuff. Maybe nowhere being normal mainstream but enough to be rich.

People would do anything for money. Grifting is lucrative if you're good enough.

They're using controversy to expand their audiences. Trying to get banned may seem dumb on the surface but there is a context, "I am saying things they don't want you to hear so this is why I'm being banned"

It's an excellent way to get people to subscribe to Patreon for example.

There's probably a complicated answer as to why people believe all sorts of crazy stereotypes.

My thought is -- the people who believe the most insane theories and stereotypes are the people who are the least-traveled, and who least engage with the world.

It's no coincidence that the people who are the most nationalist are the people likely don't even have a passport.
The most racist people grew up and only socialize with people of their own race.
The most misogynistic people are the ones who really haven't dated all that much, or haven't ever really connected with another person.

And so when that happens, or if you have limited experiences with others different than you...and those experiences happen to be negative...you're going to apply that across the board. Because you're an uncultured idiot.

back in the day people had to form opinions of their own. You got the morning news which like current day morning shows was light hearted feel good stories. then you got the evening news which back then was just reporting on current events.

Nowadays you have people getting new 24/7 and its usually presenting a particular point of view, which if you regularly consume the same avenues gives you the same perspectives each time. And because people aren't smart they eventually get indoctrinated by it.

It makes sense why most of their fans are people that like no rules: they're full of 11-year-old kids who think "freedom of speech" and "no rules" is a good thing. Remember when we were a naive kids - "No rules?! YES!"

Look at the replies to that tweet, those are the types tuning into these streams - kids!

You're literally putting yourself at the kiddie table when you tune in :heh:

Ya'll really think (reasonable) adults are in those fast af scrolling live chats?! It's predominately 11-13 year olds in those things. Not even high school kids got time for all of that.

So it's hilarious when adults start agreeing with the stuff, not realizing they're agreeing with a bunch of 11-year-old kids that got no idea how the world works.

That's the funny/sad part:
At the end of the day if you're in the know/tune in to those streams, your "social circle" and community are basically a bunch of elementary school children.

There should really be two internets: one for adults and one for kids.
Mixing-and-matching two age groups (who don't know each others' ages) has been a big factor that's declining society.
