Why do studios keep giving The Rock $50 million for movies

I get giving him 20 but 50 seems like a lot given the returns on investments are looking shakier and shakier nowadays. The Rock really has no classics and no franchises. Nothing I can sit back and constantly revisit like a Rocky, Rambo, Predator or Total Recall.
