Dudes complaining that a team with one of the best defenses ever, personalities like the fridge and McMahon hall of famers like Payton, Singletary and Dent getting a 30 for 30. 85 Bears was one of those special teams.

Can't speak for rebel but Hampton was the truth them knee injuries really slowed him down over the years. IMO he was a similar player like Howie long in that he could play tackle and DE at times. Also Dent, Otis Wilson and Wilber Marshall were hell with rushing the passer.

The bears were a team that could rush the passer with its 4 lineman and its two outside LBs. McMichael and Petty were very good against the run and collapsing the pocket.

Also at one time Hampton had like 7 knee surgeries on each knee. He was basically bone on bone by the time he was late in his career. I believe he and Jeff ruland were some of the first players to ever have micro fracture surgery.

Seen him years ago in a sky box in soldier Field and old Hampton basically had a walker cause his knees were so bad.
