A lot of "successful" black people see blackness as a thing they have overcome. However, if people remember, we are not what the media claims us to be. We are not bad people, we are not broken people. We are just people who have obstacles to overcome like everyone else. Our priorities are out of order because we have lost our traditional values from our homes. We've succumbed to the white man's way of life: independence, ego, and greed.

The knowledge is not out of reach. It is just overshadowed by propaganda of fame, money, sex and drugs. Everyone wants to talk about building socio-economic growth and power. But you can't build without a strong foundation. You won't get far with people who do not know how to trust eachother and create healthy bonds and relationships. In order to get there we need to teach people instead of inflating their fragile ego, which feeds off validation, to strengthen their self-confidence and knowledge of self.
