I feel the same as Op. Most of them wouldn't care about your death. I guess that's what separates them from average people. Y'all care too much about people that you don't know while they dgaf and will do anything to get money

Well sometimes you see people grow

Growing up one of the first shows I remember is the Cosby shows.

Same when Kobe died I was 11 when he entered the NBA, good days, bad days you'd turn on your TV for like 20 years and see love playing for those few hours a night you were entertained

Say you lack emotional connections then breh.

My family LOVED the Cosby Show growing up. Absolutely loved it.

It was one of the few shows my dad watched, that wasn't an old western or political news.

So we all watched it together, as a family.

My upbringing literally got called Cosbyish because we had a set dinner time and my parents were together and happy.

Tho my parents weren't a patch on the Huxtables as my dad wasn't a doctor n my mother wasn't a lawyer.

So yeah, I literally watched this show as I grew up, and now seeing MJW die brings the fact that my own father died 7 years ago back into juxtaposition, considering how sad he'd have felt to find this out.

I didn't cry but it definitely felt like someone I knew from afar died.

im sorry for your loss breh.. and i am glad the cosby show brought your family together. in all seriousness i think thats great..

but with all due respect youre talking about fictional characters. so yea youre right, i lack emotional attachment to fictional characters..

how far down the rabbit hole would you like to go with this? We all gathered around the TV to laugh at bill too. at one point i think he was called "Americas dad".., will we have the same energy when he passes?

"theo" was cool as fukk, funny and possibly inspired a generation of YN... but that wasnt Malcolm

with all due respect to the dead.... i didnt know them nikkaz :francis:

hearing about a celebrity that died does nothing to me. it doesnt "ruin my day". i dont feel the need to make a tribute post about the them. hearing about a celebrity death is the equivalent to hearing about someone winning the lotto.. my reaction is "oh wow, damn.... i wonder if i should have chinese later :jbhmm:"

even if im a fan of their music or movies "Oh wow! damn.... i wonder if i should have chinese later :jbhmm:"

It depends heavily on the celebrity.

Some celebrities represent points in our lives or a particular project moved us emotionally. Maybe they were generous and helped a lot of people or put someone on. It depends.

Honestly, most of the time i don't care.

Only two deaths really affected my mood when i found out. MJ & Kobe.
