I like "Band on the Run", especially the guitar playing in the intro. Also like "Say, Say, Say" but everybody likes that....he collaborated with the GOAT music on that.

Solo career may have been underwhelming, but he and Lennon were the primary writers behind the Beatles. Very few artists and producers have accomplished as primary song writers what he accomplished as part of a duo that translated into unmatched success for a four man team.

- the beatles music has done a horrible job of crossing over to future generations the way michael jackson and led zeppelin has, even beatles fans have to admit this
- i once read an article about how john lennon really wasn't a "hippy" in his last few years and was leaning more toward capitalist/corporate ambitions the way paul mccartney did

anybody saying that "tell me lies" and "hotel california" are bad songs is full of shyt....it may not be your genre of music you prefer, but those are some good ass songs
