Black folks will treat the shyt outta anybody that comes around stanking, so there is pressure to make sure we’re smelling right when in public.
On the flip side, we lack a shaming culture regarding out of wedlock births, and marriage being seen as a necessary step in adulthood. While white folks will shame men and women into “doing the right thing”, so there is pressure to marry.
