Pretty women always have ugly/fat friends. It helps them stand out. And fat/ugly friends accept this because it means they get male attention by proxy.

Plus, less competition makes it easier for the attractive friend. And if she likes a guy, his wingman can take the hit with the unattractive friend to keep her company.

Basically I'm gonna sum up what AMS said which I find true. The role of the cockblocker is to get the main chick out of situations she may not want to be in. We think that the cockblocker is just being spiteful or wants attention (maybe in some scenarios) but let's be honest if a girl is into the guy that's talking to her she is not going to allow her friend to disrupt that. You just said pretty women rarely hang out with each other. And I just explained because they’re insecure, hence why you see pretty women with unattractive friends more often than a bunch of pretty women together.
