I think like @Groanman said above you, ppl try to shed their identity and/reputation COMPLETELY for whatever reason. Doing that would defeat the purpose

Never had an alias either but if I ever got the urge to use another SN I'd just make another account and tailor the content to something less personal.

The thought to change my username has never once ran across my mind. Why do some of you do it so frequently? What's the point? What are y'all running away from?

It can only be done once a year and that option only started within the last year or so

I'll never change my username. Why? Because @JudgeJoeGorilla fits everything about me on here. Cool, calm, and collected. I couldn't imagine changing my username to something corny. TBH, I used to get hated when I first started posting on here because of the name. However, it's like 5 or 6 different posters with Gorilla in their name.
