I think the problem is that most these nikkas cant even comprehend what Jay is saying most of the time. No I cant relate to no rich nikka lifestyle, then again either can most of yall favorite rappers. But you can't listen to any Jay-z album and not say he aint WAY ahead of of anybody rapping til this day. Dead, Alive, Half-Dead, whoever you want to compare to that dude. No I aint a Jay stan, I barely listen to his albums because I listen to my music in my car (he dont have whip music), but I know what he is capable of and any rapper you can name dont want it! Maybe Em......THATS IT

BP3 is probably the worst album made by a nikka that is in evrybody top ten

I've been saying this for the longest, that song "Haters" is basura, album was a huge letdown.

As to the topic, Jay does get some unwarranted hate on here, but so does Nas, Pac, and other legendary rappers, and as much hate as Jay gets, lets not act like he has stans on here ready to defend him no matter what he does. The only stanning that comes close to Jay on here is Nas stans

i never understood the hate for bp3, besides a few tracks that album was solid.

reminder
off that
forever young

take these off of the album and its a 4.0-4.5 album easy.

If you have to take 3 or so songs off of an album just to make it to a 4 mic level, then you know it's average/below average.

See where you fukked up at is trying to talk down on other dudes to prop up Jay. Isn't that why you made this thread? Isn't that the problem? Yet you go and compare him to Nas and Scarface to make Jay seem better in comparison. Why can't you nikkas explain why someone is good and deserves respect without trying to criticize the accomplishments of others.

Did you read? Where did I criticize them?

Do the other rappers on that top 10 have 11 number one albums in a row?

Do the other rappers have to make hits records like ESOM and Run this Town 14 years in the game.

What other rappers in the top 10 have this kind of pressure from the record execs?

L.A. Reid Forced Him To Rush Kingdom Come

Young Guru:“Now, everything rides on this Jay-Z album. Jay goes on a world tour and goes to Africa to do his Water for Life thing. He’s doing all this stuff and L.A. Reid is looking at me, like, ‘We need the Jay album by the end of the year.’

“I’m like, ‘We’re not ready. I have some songs but it’s not done and he’s in Africa.’ They’re like ‘If this shyt doesn’t come out, people are getting fired. I can’t pay my bills, this record has to come out at this time.’

“I’m begging, ‘Can I please push this back? He’s in Africa’ and they’re like, ‘Alright get on a plane.’ I ended up meeting Jay in Taipei, Taiwan and we didn’t really get to record until we got to Australia. But it’s like, you’re in the middle of a world tour doing soccer arenas that hold 60,000, to 100,000 people.

“He’s doing a show with 70,000 people and then I’m asking him to go to the studio right after that; his voice is gone. We’re in a foreign place trying to catch a vibe so it’s like double work. Not only did you have to memorize and do a two-hour show, now I’m asking you to be creative. This is why you get Kingdom Come.”

The same reason :mjpls: would be on a basketball Mt. Rushmore are the same reasons Jay Z would be on a hiphop Mt. Rushmore

I'm sorry, but this shyt is becoming disrespectful

We had a thread on here last week on your hiphop Mount rushmore http://www.the-coli.com/booth/24653-who-goes-your-rap-mt-rushmore.html Not only did yall not have Jay Z first, some of yall didn't have Jay Z at all. Explain yourselves? Who has done more with rap than Jay Z? Not having Jay on a Mt Rushmore is like not having Jordan on one.

nikkas talking about Jay Z fell off like those verses on WTT were not lyrical master pieces?

Just on some rap shyt you dont think Jay z can't drop an album full of "Grammy Family verse" then you are kidding yourselves.

Jay Z has more responsibility then these other rappers. Every year since 96 Jay z has been dropping albums that have at least 1 major hit record on them?

Nas, Wu tang, Scarface doesn't have to put record labels on his back. They dont have the pressure to make ESOM, nikkas in Paris, Otis, Run this Town every single album and deliver every time. Along with that he is lyrically murdering every single verse

No other rapper can perform 2 hours at a concert and actually have hit records that doesnt and have fans naming numerous songs that he forgot to do that would have made the roof pop off the building.

Who else in rap is writing 16s while running 16 businesses?

"In couple years, nikka Im going to bring you some nets" Come on Coli, Jay Z is what every rapper aspires to be.

When the nikkas say he is "Hova" he has his reasons.

shyt is not fair, Jay is literally on another planet from all these nikkas and he's knows it.
Can only speak for myself but while i put Jay on my fictional Mt. Rapmore list, i can see y some wouldn't. There's no way Nas Pac Big wouldn't make it, but for some people (especially older cats) Krs Rakim Kool G Kane Cube among others deserve a spot too. That's y i woudn't care if they didnt put Jay or even Big (but Nas and Pac most definitely would be there) on there. U know it is actually some people who don't think Jay-Z is the g.o.at. Just because a man tells u this enough times over the years doesn't make it necessarily true. And in the back of my head i still wonder sometimes if BIG and Pac didn't die would Jay had even got the chance to blow the way he did. Let;s not act like he ain't capitalize of BIG too. With the stories of they was best friends as well as biting his lyrics over the years.
