The Truth
Usually means they’re overcompensating for something :sas2:

I personally do not like the newer SUV’s… it’s like they’re made obnoxiously big.

I was going to trade both mines in for and EV SUV about a year ago, but then I bought a crib and realized I was pretty close to paying both off and just abandoned the idea, especially after the removed EV incentives.

Might get an SUV later if everything still matters in a few years, but I would love for them to stop making shyt unnecessarily big. I’m not that much of a scaredy nikka to need all that. And I like to put my whips in the garage sometimes.

I see a lot of goofy lifted trucks out here and unless they’re driving over cliffs and through floods (and most aren’t) then it’s a money waster.

But, I’ve been debating on selling both cars and getting a armored vehicle though

Just cause it takes it doesn’t mean it’s good for it,

That $5 you save per fill up gonna cost you in the long run

Use 91 at the minimum
:beli:

Im going off the owners manual which says use 87. Ive had people tell me go off the owners, and ive also had people tell me what youre telling me. I might just start putting 91/93 just to see the differencs

And im guessing the STL in ur name stands for St. Louis ? My auntie in St. Louis had her Range Rover stolen at gunpoint last year but it was a evoque
Yep St. Louis. I definitely make sure I’m aware of my surroundings wherever I’m at even though I live in a decent neighborhood.

Wrangler gang…. At the gas station more than I would want, but I love my shyt. Also north east winters make it easy for me. Add to it, when I go to the city people move out my way and I don’t have to worry about folks hitting my bumper when parallel parking

People like sitting up high and the utilization of space. I prefer a big body coupe or sedan but I also like to sit low and take curves. Can’t do that in the SUV equivalent. I rented a few Range Rovers using Turo to drive along the Gulf states and they weren’t bad but not my preference for a daily driver.
Basically. Doesn't help that these SUVs keep morphing into a big ass room on wheels. All the space and amenities (useless or otherwise) make people feel they're in an extension of their bedroom

SUVs provide a level of psychological comfort that dampens the looming depression of spending 2 hours of your day driving

Use to not really care for them but now I have to park in the streets and we been getting floodings (totally unrelated to climate change according to Conservatards), big ones at least twice a year for a couple of years, so I'm saving for one, need a taller car.

I don’t doubt it. I’ve driven the first generation of each of those and they were clunky and heavy but I’m sure theyve improved since. The supercharged Range Rovers are beastly.

They are much improved. No way you're still basing them on the 1st generation. You can actually track those like damn sports cars.

nobody can quote any data from the NHTSA or ANY insurance company to provide empirical evidence that Trucks/SUV cause more accidents/fatalities.

More importantly, OP clearly is a person who's day to day requirements do not support having a SUV/Crossover/Truck......and wants to blame you for vehicle prices increasing.....not car companies collectively raising prices.

I wouldn't say they cause more accidents.

But all the stupid people on their phones are in these things now.
