I never liked Drake, but I came to soften up because I realized the whole game kinda fukked up and he kinda makes decent music that people vibe to and got some nice collabs with Wayne/Ross/French I fukk with.

Meek I used to like very much, but started realizing he too emotional to the point he thinks he has to beef with everybody just for not reposting his album on their IG (or getting a shoutout from someone he don't like). That's the reason why he beefed with Drake wasn't it? Wale too. I was on his side at first for exposing Drake for the ghostwriting shyt, but when it became apparent he wouldn't deliver that reference track to Flex that night and made us wait, it had me smh. But coo, whatever. But when he dragged in AR-AB just because Drake mentioned him in a song, I thought that was some hoe shyt. What did AR AB do for Meek to yell "fukk AR AB" at a Nicki Minaj concert? They had some homies who had tension but Ab never disrespected Meek or said nothing negative until Meek flipped at him out over Drake's "in the Wraith listening to AR AB" line.

Then when I remembered Meek was hanging with 50 Cent when Fif was beefin with Ross, but now that Meek beefin with Drake he don't want Wale or Ross fukking with Drake, I thought that was hypocritical. I stopped listening to Meek after that whole shyt.

theres so much wrong with this post.

you need to double back and do some research on this stuff.

Doesn't take himself too seriously and seems aware that the rap game is just that....a game.

Versatile with the slick raps about fame while being fairly relatable in dealing with women (whether in the wrong or not).

Good at toeing regional lines and able to do a club record with any kind of feel, be it tropical, trap, west coast, or boom-bap. His rise and the reaction to it has always been entertaining. I peeped that he could rap a bit when The N was running marathons of Degrassi: TNG, so seeing him blow up after "Comeback Season" and putting my friends on to "So Far Gone" before it launched always keeps me interested in what he'll do next.

I don't know these guys. They're just music unless I suddenly find myself living in Calabasas for whatever reason.

Comeback Season was ok. So Far Gone was his breakthrough and I enjoyed it when it dropped (still do tbh). Take Me Later was trash. Take Care is his best album and I feel it’s one of the best albums released this decade. Nothing was the Same is good, too. “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” is ok as well. Everything else is irrelevant to me.

Overall he’s a great introspective artist and puts out music you can dance, smoke, and ride to.

I fukked with his music hardbody before the ghostwriting shyt came to light... from the first mixtape up until that point. Once the reference tracks popped up I lost all respect for him as an artist. To me that’s some shyt you can’t come back from IMO. As an artist myself, I can’t in good faith fukk with someone who don’t pen their own shyt & portray as if they do. Call it bein stuck in the past but I still take the artform serious & believe he should’ve been exiled once the veil was pulled back on him. He’s a pop artist with some hip hop tracks though so mfs give him a pass still :yeshrug:
this is the stuff that kills me though.

all of a sudden his music is no good anymore??

do you guys even LIKE music? or is all about some fantasy shyt that you guys are trying to live out?

it's just MUSIC...thats it....it ain't that serious.

you know how pathetic many of you dudes sound?? like those fakitt ass hipsters on some " Well, I used to like this band's music until everybody else started liking it"

seriously??

Listen, if you don't respect a dude cuz he didn't write his own songs thats one thing, but to flip it over and say you can't fukk with his music (that you previously enjoyed) because he didn't write it all is something else all together....

THAT, is some pathetic shyt right there.....

1. Hes a fraud
2. He's the first rapper to become larger than the genre through anything but Rap.
3. Ghostwriter's
4. He got cucked by Pusha T
5. Hes got casual females too involved in hip hop.

The nikka is a cornball and culture vulture yet some of yall still Stan this man heavy.
I don't understand.

Even before the Pusha T and Meek mill beefs there was something off about this dude.

He doesn't even make music for real nikkas. Idk he makes decent songs sometimes but something is off as of he treats music like he an actor still and plays a role in all his shyt
It's really just the bolded.

A lot of people don't give a fukk about rappers and their personal lives. If they put out good music, people will listen. That's why this ghostwriter stuff didn't run him out the business. People don't care how the product is made. They just want the product. It is what it is. :yeshrug:

Yeah I was more so speaking about his music AFTER the ghostwriting shyt.. I can go back & revisit certain songs I felt like were classics, I’ve heard those songs already so it ain’t like I can forget them. Am I actively seeking his music now though? Not at all cuz the shyt isn’t authentic no matter how you put it..
