When I went to A&T (an HBCU) when at the time I went it was like 1 white dude in the dorms and 5 white students on the entire campus (slightly exaggerating, but back then real talk we rarely saw white people when living on campus other than a few teachers)
I promise I never heard cats say that to each other. Nor used to at WSSU or Livingston’s or JCSmith or any other black college we used to travel to to holla at chicks.
When I used to go up to see my fam.... in the PJs of Chester, PA and South Philly, never heard it.
When I used to visit my grandparents in Newark, NJ off Hansbury Ave..... never heard dudes on the block call cats that.
Just never have and these places are hood if not the blackest of black
