Why do you suppose that many black parents are not parenting effectively?

Where are the statistics to show that many of black parents are not parenting effectively? The ones that aren't have numerous factors affecting them, especially poverty.

I've worked with all sorts of kids and they all can be bad and have terrible parents. Their is a lot of factors that makes bad parenting.

Exactly. Great post; people love to associate blacks with bad parenting for some cac-ish reason..some of ya'll believe everything the white media puts in your face or ears
The reason - because their parents didnt parent them effectively. Alot of it has to do with a combination of drugs and poverty. These 2 elements took alot of parents out of homes since drugs disproportionately effected black people more then anyone else. Basically blame the white man for that since this trash was pomped into our neighborhoods, and not theres.
How can you be a better parent. Its really a decision based on self reflection and selflessness. Its so easy to just say fukk parenting and carry on like the reponsibility doesnt exist but if you care about the future of your bloodline, spending time with your family and taking care of them is necessary but its not something anyone can make you do.
what's your personal opinion on the matter OP?

The reason is because there's no consequences from within the community on raising irresponsible children. When the standard are raised you will see change in parenting skills.
