Why do you think Lebron struggles in late game situations?

brute force baller
needs clock to dribble or open court to build momentum

jump shot ain't automatic
and steam rolling into the paint in the clutch where space and time is restricted ain't an option:yeshrug:+

because those numbers have nothing to do with him choking at the FT line
Or his ability to make shots outside of the paint. Most of his shots made in clutch situations are layups, he's not great at midrange in the clutch.

People can't fairly judge Kobe's and LeBron's FG% in the clutch because the shots Kobe take are much higher in difficulty.

its just not in his DNA, no clutch

He's not there mentally. He let's the game get to him when things aren't going his way and he's starts making dumb decisions. He loses his composure, and loses focus and of course missed 8 crucial freethrows, 2 of which could have one the game.

There has been times when Lebron was on one, like Game 7 agaisnt the Spurs but most of the time he doesn't that though closer mentally in him.
but you was just quoting all his clutch jumpers in the game thread :sas1:

is it oochie wally or one mic :sas2:

Son's three point shooting style has to lead to inconsistency and at this point, every team plays to essentially surround the goal so he can't just bully to the hoop

Usually with a good consistent shooting threat, he gets that lay up opportunity though. Last game, Rockets had pretty much nothing to work about with .3 seconds left in the game and LeBron I bounding the ball. The FTs were just inexcusable tho

So? :yeshrug:

You don't get extra points for degree of difficulty. If LeBron can get a layup in the clutch shouldn't that be better than having to take contested mid-range fadeaways. Which LeBron also takes plenty of those, anyway, like the terrible shot he took at the end of regulation. Just pointing out that the argument is flawed.

The type of shots Kobe takes in clutch situations more closely resemble the offensive options allowed by the coverage a star player would get in a tough playoff game. Taking those easy shots in the clutch do LeBron no good because he won't get those types of easy shots against championship caliber teams and he loses confidence when he has no choice but to take that type of shot.:francis:

That's just dumb. He gets good looks in playoff games. You don't remember them because they aren't asthetically pleasing. James has made as many game winners as Bryant on considerably fewer attempts. He is simply a superior player who had the misfortune of starting his career in Cleveland as opposed to Los angeles paired with shaq and Phil.

I agree :leon:

Bron had a bad game it happens. The only thing I'll say is MJ/Kobe were $$$ at the free throw line in the cluctch. Bron has always had his struggles with that, he's always bounced back though. Don't expect it to be any different this time

Yeah I can't ever recall them missing that many freethrows like that. Jordan was shooting them with his eyes close for fukks sake. In fact Lebron has been shooting very poorly at the like this year
