Why do you think there's such a pushback to Curry's dominance?

There is pushback because currys success is coming to easy.

The league is weak.

Fans like me are more competitive than the NBA players facing curry seem to be.

If you watched Jordan, Kobe or even Iverson play then you know they got treated way differently by defenses.

Meanwhile teams continue to sleep on curry and don't get mad or embarrassed when he's dropping 50+ and shimmying in their face. :wow:

Yes, most don't want to see curry and the Warriors break the Bulls record cause no way this warriors team is better than a team with MJ, Scottie and Rodman. But really we just wanna see competitive basketball.

Is this league really gonna let a player dominate like this? The regular season is almost over and it's not getting any more difficult for the warriors.

And I could care less about Lebron. It's about time he realized the NBA didn't revolve around him.

Cuz they're used to seeing either centers or guys like MJ, Kobe and LeBron dominating the league by shooting mid range or bulldozing their way to the rim

They ain't never seen a light skin PG dominate the game by shooting 3's

Iverson dominated the same way curry is except with less threes and more driving to the rim.

Plus he did it for like 4 straight seasons.

Averaged more points and assists than curry. On a less talented team in a tougher league.

Iverson got way more hate

Anyways I think the pushback isn't currys game.

It's more a criticism of the NBA and the fans and media overrating curry prematurely.

But hey it happens with every player who has a Jordan like dominant run.

I like curry, always have, but I hate the NBA sometimes.

That's why I loved seeing Lillard drop 50 on em and the Blazers destroy the Warriors last week. :ohlawd:

Watch what Russell/Durant and Okc do to the Warriors tonight :youngsabo:

Early 2000's was the WOAT NBA time. Iverson scored a tiny bit more shooting 8-11% worse from the field and 13-18% worse from deep. He didn't even average 5 assists a night after his rookie or second year again until he was in Denver. Curry's assists are down and he's getting 6 a night. He's also doing this in 8 minutes less per game. Hold this neg for not even researching your arguing points. #WPOY2016

What he's been doing has never been done before...

The way he's dominating at his size....I just think it's taking some people (including myself) time to process it.

If would've asked me before I would've said I wouldn't want my best player to be a point guard. He's changing the way we look at the game

Why can't it be that they're that much better than everyone else? It's like Mayweather in a sense. It looks like easy fights but he's that much better than the comp.

Fixed.

Steph Curry is a light-skinded, family friendly, small school, volume shooting guard who plays on the West Coast.
This wasn't supposed to happen. He wasn't supposed to be this good. His team isn't supposed to win like this.

The sky is falling.

This is it right here...when Mark Jackson said him and Klay was the best back court duo in history..most nikkas was...:sas2: but the preacher knew it...and when nikkas was yelling Love for Klay the Logo was like...:mjpls: ....nikkas was not ready to handle the unexpected...little munchkin from Davidson done leapfrogged the whole damn league in the space of 5 years...?:damn: That's a hard pill :manny:

There's no pushback to Curry's greatness as it pertains to the league today.

Almost everyone would agree he's among the top 3 players in the game right now.

The pushback comes when people act like he's an all-time great player off the strength of 1.75 elite NBA seasons.

That's when people are like :camby: Pump yo breaks.

A Buckeye State Of Mind
Keep in mind, this is common behavior through all eras.

To answer the questions mainly right now it's LeBron fans I think and hardcore Jordan fans who became LeBron fans because they don't like Kobe.

Durant was getting some shade during his run if I remember correctly.

However, Curry straight up destroyed LeBron and his legacy. Cats are furious. Dude hit the landscape like nothing we've seen so hardcore fans of other players pretty much have lost their shyt.

Then you have Chicago fans who feel very threatened right now. If Golden State beats their record and takes the title, then they'll have the greatest season in NBA history, non-debatable.

Not saying the above is true for everyone, but I'm willing to bet it's a significant amount and it's my best guess plus observations.

A lot of people really don't want to just accept things and move on. It happens in all walks of life.
How does currys success destoy brons legacy:what:
Did magic and bird destroy each others legacies? Did kobe and duncan destroy each others legacies? That's the dumbest thing I read in a while. I guess people look down on Hakeem cause Shaq destroyed his legacy too right:stopitslime:

Destroyed Lebron's legacy? How so? Because Curry's team won a Finals when Lebron was alone and singlehandedly making it competitive? Curry didn't even win Finals MVP and was being slowed down by Matthew Delluvahobo. And how did he destroy it if Dirk, Kawhi, or Dwight didn't? Stop it.

Also, this is a strawman argument. There's no pushback to Curry's dominance. Getting quotes from retired greats about how they'd stop Steph & The Warriors isn't a pushback. The Big 3 era Heat had a real pushback. The Warriors & Curry aren't there yet, sensitive Warriors fans...

This is part of the problem. People think he's just recently starting to play at a superstar level when he's been a top 5ish player since 2013. It's almost like those years are forgotten

You have a lot more people comparing Curry's peak, which a short period of time, with all time great players. People do the same with Bill Walton all the time and Currys got more prime longevity than he does.
