lack of major cities

Because low-key, Canada is kinda the 51st state.

EDIT: They're North Wisconsin

if canada is an offshoot territory of france...:patrice: did france create any original music genres???

The disrespect of Canada is so odd. Not sure if ya'll are trolling

#1. Lack of major cities? Really lol

#2 Canada is like the 51st state, and basically Northern Wisconsin

- Alot of Canda have completely different cultural influences and climates. Vancouver British Columbia was a British Colony. And it resembles Seattle a bit, and nowhere near like Wisconsin. Toronto has a similar look to the Midwest, so you got a point there. Montreal is completely different and has the climate of Upstate NY and Boston and unique culture

#3 Canada was an offshoot of France

You can say the US was an offshoot of France too :manny:

The origin of Jazz in America was a combo of African music and Creole French music

I think the existence of Canada makes some Americans uncomfortable (like Trump).

Historically, attempts to invade Canada during the American War for Independence and the War of 1812 have failed, which rubs some American nationalists the wrong way.

Also, the politics of Canada are informed as a reaction to the American Revolution and the some of the earliest Anglo-settlers in Canada (escaped slaves and white Empire Loyalists from the Thirteen Colonies) viewed Americans as a vulgar, cruel people. Especially formerly enslaved Africans who fled with the British instead of remaining slaves in the newly-formed United States. This rubs some Americans the wrong way, as many Americans view their system of government and laws as perfect.

Finally, Canadians tend to live longer, are taller, have a lower infant mortality than their American counterparts. It's like having a mirror country that makes you feel bad for your shortcomings politically and culturally. Also, a lot of Canadians look down on Americans for being stereotypically stupid, ignorant, violent etc.

"What do you mean they speak English? Why haven't they joined us? They don't want to join us? Why???" :damn:

That said, Canada is a settler colony that has committed atrocities against its indigenous peoples; has discriminated against its black and other racial minorities; and Canadian political culture has serious problems too.

Probably same reason most states in the US don't, something created in NY or Michigan spread to Ontario, Georgia, California etc. with the same speed.

And that it was all white for so long.
The south started all kinds of musical genres

To answer OP question, because Canada pushed the OG black folks out. If America would have done the same, America wouldn't have shyt either

You give us too much credit. Very few of us know this happened.

Til this day, people are shocked when i tell them about James Madison's role in that or the fact that Canada is the only nation to ever raze Washington.

To the avg American we have only ever lost Vietnam. The closest thing to military angst is Afghanistan, and til this day there are Americans who think we "won" that one too.

Again, you overestimate our history curriculum. Our maps of the brittish era dont even include Canada in them.

There was legit just a small adendum about us getting Detroit and Ohio in a war with france and some natives, and thats it.

We really , truly are unaware of any of this. Yes those are rational concerns and all but you gotta understand our avg mental level in America is struggling with vaccines and autism. :pachaha:

The American consciousness of Canada is composed of Maple Syrup and Hockey. Thats literally the entire mental association of Americans with Canada .it was a news flash for a lot of northern states when they discovered we import power from Canada during Trump's attempt to annex you

New York City & Neverland Ranch
- no culture
- saturated with CACs
- the natives, so called First Nations people who do have culture, were unsurprisingly treated like shīt and live in some of the most coldest, barren and undesirable part of canada
- far superior culture and creativity just over the border
- the immigrants that do come there are beyond swagless
