1) CP3 is looked a guy that carries his team and produces in more ways than one, while Melo is looked at as a guy who is nothing more than a one-dimensional player.
2) CP3 has always been looked at as an overachiever who has gotten further than he should based on the (mediocre) talent around him. While Melo has been looked at as an underachiever who has talent around him yet still can't get it done come playoff time.
