Why does Darkchild not get his proper respect

He made a lot of classic hip-hop infused but radio safe R&B chick songs. So you should understand why no one in "The Booth" is raving about his catalog.
Like seriously it sounds like he had a listening session packed full of 1000 women for every song he's ever produced. He deserves his props, but this site (or at least this subforum) isn't the place to look for them.
Timbaland gets his props in a forum like this because he had a signature sound, and he had some R&B joints that dudes actually wanted to rap over. We can't throw any Darkchild instrumentals on to get a freestyle session going. But I'd bet the cast of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" rocks out to all these joints, lol.

exactly. he had hits but his style wasn't one that made you pay attention to his shyt for the production. dude was mad generic.

He didn't have a signature sound, which enabled him to have longevity but it makes it harder for the average l layman to reminisce over him. I agree that the style of r&b he worked on is irrelevant these days; he should find a young male singer and make a better-produced Bryson Tiller, or just reach out to some of the young cats that are hot now
