Why does everyone hate Dwight Howard

It's not really "hating". As I said in another thread: Dwight Howard WANTS to be LIKED. He wants to be loved. He wants to be up there with the Kobe's and the Lebrons and the Shaq's.

This is why he's always goofing around and acting the fool when the camera is on him. Then there was the whole falling out in Orlando where he told management he wanted SVG fired then came up to him and hugged him like 30 seconds after SVG told reporters that Dwight told management that he wanted SVG fired.

It's a different time. He's just gonna have to stay healthy, win a chip, and take his licks. If it wasn't for the Malice in the Palace, Dwight might have thugged up on someone by now.

nikkas just called a spade a spade...Dwight was supposed to usher in an era of athletic Centers IMO and failed to win it all, as well as wanting/choosing to go to the Lakers after taking a dump on the entire Orlando organization and then failing to live up to expectations in LA.

Why the fukk would you even go to LA? Shaq shyts on you ALL THE TIME when you're in Orlando and then you go to LA to live in his shadow some more and play with Kobe of all people...and then FAIL and then run to Houston?

Dude is just not made of the right stuff to be a winner in a competitive professional sports league. Having played sports at a high level, the guys who make the pros, even the ones who are scrubs, are some of the most competitive people you will ever come across in your life. It's almost pathological how competitive they are. People like that only respect other people like that in their industry. Dwight Howard doesn't seem to have that fire in him. He comes across as mentally weak, and in sports that's basically one step above being gay on the masculinity scale.

what dos "wilted" mean in this situation? that lakers team was riddled with injuries that left him with no Nash, Kobe, or Pau by the time the playoffs came. Not to mention the front office hiring D'Antoni.

He was the best player on a team that went to the finals (something Allen Iverson get praised to death for on Coli). He's been the face of Big Men in the NBA for a good chunk of this generation. He has 3 DPOTY/ Block Titles/ Rebounding Titles, Was probably top 3-5 in MVP voting in his prime years in Orlando. To say he isn't competitive because he jokes and smiles more than your average superstar sounds kinda more kool-aid being drunk.

how does that warrant hate/ dislike? is he dominating? you can make a case he was dominate in a few season in Orlando
but it's not like he's putting up shyt numbers, he's led NBA in rebounds for more than half his career, he's putting up superstar numbers

so him not putting up shaq numbers shouldn't warrant hate...that doesn't even make sense
