When it involves where some of you live you get all sensitive like you don't know this board will say shyt for jokes and to get a rise out of people?

I do like how this turned into an economic battle. People live where they live, for the most part, because that is where they were raised. Very few just up and move out of areas only to lose day to day contact with friends/family/coworkers/etc.

You have to have substance to stand on at the end of the day or it dont mean shyt. Its superficial. I cant eat off of bragging about where I live. I cant get a job based on that. Thats not to single out NYC, but anyone who is doing that for any city/state. We livin good here breh...whether we are born and raised in the south or whether some of us moved back from NYC and retired here. put it like this. I am not from NYC but a lot of my fam is. Most of my fam has lived there at some point. I am giving a perspective from an outsider but close association type view. NY has always been arrogant....thats not the issue. its double talk. dikkriding. nikkas NOT being real. NYC used to be REAL but if you just interview some of these NY rappers, they are only interested in being politically correct. You can talk to some of these nikkas and they may feel a dude from whatever region is wack, but they get on an interview and say the opposite. Funny thing that a lot of the NY rappers that are saying that NY has become wack and deserve what they get....are actually contributors to why the shyt is happening by tailoring their sound to be like someone else. I aint namin no names but you should be able to figure out who some of these nikkas are. NY rappers just aint real. They are stuck in between a rock and a hard place because they want to embrace the same shyt they call wack. They want to do a certain brand of music but are not happy with doing it because their main motivation is money. nikkas aint tryin to establish a core base, only try and cater to someone elses. When NY did its thing it had its own sound. When West Coast came up, it was their own sound. Likewise with the south. NY will never rise again if they cant re-establish their originality.

Last time I checked the GDP of the city was 1.1 Trillion.

The closest city to that is LA with a GDP of 800 million....

What about the Commercial Real Estate, Architecture firms, Film Production, Fashion and Retail, Publishing Houses, Advertising, Technology, Healthcare, Media, TV and Record Labels, Construction Companies, etc etc. All based here nikka?

Dallas is a regional economy and you seem to have a regionally minded view of things. NYC operates at a global scale every second of the day.

Y'all get excited about a Forbes list and a few new Skyscrapers.... Enjoy that.

When black folks own any of that or in high positions of any of those things, let me know. Sad that minorities in NYC love identifying themselves as being on the bottom of the totem pole and embrace that shyt like a badge of honor.
