Why does imgur mess up their gifs?

Half my booked marked gifs use to be shareable now when I click them it only says download video. Why did imgur do this , and is there an easy fix ?​

You can still share it as a gif you just have to change the extension to .gif

Open in new tab, remove the 'v' from the extension .gifv
