Usually if I'm out with friends, which I hate because I've always got to babysit them, but I don't know it's boring, just getting drunk and high listening to bull shyt ass rap music and talking to bytches that are too stupid to even hold a complex conversation with me.

But like last night (no movado) I went to this lecture on minerals and the geosphere and met up with my uncle, I was bored to death there and while the lecture was going on I looked up some close Jazz Clubs (I'm in Portland) and lucky enough Portlands jazz festival had just started today and a famous pianist named Barry Harris was playing. So I went there, waited in line had some cool conversations, went in got a drink, watched the show ended up meeting this cool ass doctor from England at the bar. We ended up running into each other when we were smoking a cigarette, and after the show went to the nearest bar to have another beer. That shyt was so nice, I mean cool ass guy, and although my friends are cool and we have fun, it's like child's fun. I don't really want to go to a sports bar or some club and pop that p*ssy for a real nikka, I wanna do shyt I like and meet people that I have shyt in common with like the people at that jazz concert. That shyt was so refreshing I swear, but do some of y'all ever feel like that? Like your friends don't really fit you?

Because your friends are losers and you've outgrown them.

That's the thing though. We've never been the same type of people. They're the type to rock some hightop shoes and stick the tongues out. I've never even been similar to any of my friends. They all like rap and I hardly even listen to that shyt. Especially now that I'm a bit older.

...actually it now sounds like you think youre too good for them. Thats on you but that sounds really egocentric. If you were never friends in the first place why do you care to continue frontin?

first off, props on going to a barry harris concert on a whim. not to many people are aware of him (or any jazz artists for that matter) and he's a legend. it's funny because i'm actually listening to a CD he played piano on (i think, i don't have the hard copy anymore so i can't remember for sure). he use to play with sonny stitt a lot and i listen to stitt for technical endeavors on my saxophone. plus, it's good you went to see him since he is up in age. i got the chance to seven years ago. he's a beautiful human and always trying to help musicians as much as he can.

second, yes, going out by yourself can be fun as long as you're open and willing to meet new people. i have to say that's one of the reasons i like to go out by myself. dealing with groups of people can be tiresome...

No smh, I'm saying we have totally different styles. Like we're still friends and we're cool. But like I don't know, maybe I'm just different. I like jazz, anime, soccer, I'm nerdy, I wanna be an arcitecht. We hungout last week and talked about shyt, but the only thing that I could think about was calculus and it's all I wanted to talk about that because I can't talk to them about it because they're not exactly nerds. They're cool but idk interests aren't there

Tbh, I had never even heard of him but I'm glad I went, he was sweet; has a great sense of humor and after the show I shook his hand and he signed my shirt. I'll definitely be checking out his music though. His closing song was PHENOMENAL I mean it was jazz but a Brazilian esque samba type of song, and the way that the energy shifted to the crowd, I was stunned. My first jazz show ever and it felt JUST like how I could imagine when I'd listen to live recordings, the audience clapping; it was great. So yes it was a good time, everyone there seemed so cool, we have a jazz station out here KMHD 89.1 and like I said, the jazz scene and the coolness definitely intertwine with one another. The only unfortunate events that night were some guy telling me to get up and move out of his seat, some fat old white guy in his 50's but he was a drunk prick making an ass out of himself and everyone knew it so I just brushed it off and this elder white man offered me a seat next to him which was cool. And someone stole my cigarettes while I was at the bar lol smh, but that can be considered a blessing or a curse, but anyway yes it was great, excellent, bravissimo, I loved it tbh.

And yeah, that's a good point, I'm sociable, I make friends easily it's just that in society it's frowned upon to be alone for some odd reason although we're all individuals.

She can't be that annoying if you kept your dikk in her long enough to make a little mistake, right?
