Why does it take hours to install games on PS4?

downloading hardline is the preferable option
I get about 120 down on my PS4 and full games and updates download pretty damn fast tbh.
Bought a game around 2pm-3pm and it's 10:30pm and it just finished installing.
I can't deal with this shyt....
Can't wait to get back on PC

You must be talking about downloading because it don't take that long in reality. Longest installation took about an hour and change(RDR2).

PS4 has a notoriously bad wifi adapter. As others have said, use ethernet for big downloads.

Doesnt make any sense, my wifi and my mobile hotspot allow me to play any game online no problems, but i need a hundred dollar monthly internet bill to download/update games
And why does call of duty need a 20 gb update every damn week???
I swear give me a next gen system i can just pop the game in and play, name your price

I really Fuxkin hate this shyt. Spent the entire day downloading my add-ons and now I gotta wait another few hours for the fukkin update to install. 7 Fuxkin gigs. 
I left my home to do some errands and the piece of shyt system shut off because it was on the Fuxkin timer (got my system used and didn’t know about this feature), so I had to continue the download when I got back.
This stupid shyt is such a turnoff, man. I’m glad I don’t game like I used to. I miss the days where you put in the game and could play in 5 minutes.
