he played at Auburn...he was bound to suck within 2-3 yrs after making it to the league....my barber back in DC still swears to this day that the Raiders would've won a SB if Campbell came back healthy the next year

I still say the raiders would have made the playoffs had he not got hurt that one year. Also we wouldn't have made that horrendous Carson Palmer trade :sadcam:

It was a sure thing. It's a damn shame. :to:

That was my former QB. :to:

Might even be better than Dalton. :mjpls:

He looks good in this Oakland highlight video (but then again it's a highlight video):

]

I know he's a game manager that doesn't take risks. But he's had time to get better and learn to take risks without turning the ball over. He's a poor man's Alex Smith.

He is the black Alex Smith, really. He just hasn't gotten the opportunities for whatever reason. I wonder why? :sas2:

not everybody is meant to be or has the ability to be great. some people have to be mediocre and he's one of them. not rocket science

You're right...but this is the NFL, there are a handful of teams with starters who are at his level or below. Kyle fukking Orton started last year. Mccown too. Cutler. Campbell can play better than all of those guys.

He NEVER, even in college, was one to try and make plays in the down field passing game. Dude loves to throw short

He was decent when he was a raider, his receivers made a lot of plays for him. I can't blame the raiders for moving on though. That was the only season where they had a legitimate chance to make the playoffs in the last decade. All they had to do was beat the chargers.

Another issue with Campbell is he was always getting hurt. He's not the most durable guy. He also has no legs. He's still a top backup and can start if you're in a bind too.

He carved the pats up last year for over 400 yards. He's got a strong arm. I've always felt he's had potential.
