What rapper doesn't front though?

Once he attaches himself to something it gets instant attention therefore putting him at the forefront.

Maybe he isn't winning as much as you have been led to believe

But he is winning, without question. especially when compared to other rappers

jay exaggerates the actuals ALOT.

0.01% of the nets but on records hes the Russian dude.
worth half a billion on record but in reality more like 180-220 mil.
makes simple advertising/ marketing deals seem bigger than they are. He basically just signs up to promote something, takes his payment in stock options, spins it into a joint venture/team up.(he learned that from dame BTW)

he does it cause 1.simple nikkas eat shyt like that up 2. at the end of the day he still richer than 99% of people and 99.9% of rappers 3. Anyone that really has the shyt jay fronts about having isn't going to call him out on being lower level rich, that's not what rich people do.

its like what Chris rock said. "if bill gates woke up with Oprahs money, he would kill himself" but to the average dude on the street they think jay = Oprah = bill gates when in reality its jay<<<<<Oprah<<<<<<<<<"dollar" bill gates. but what do I know, you jigga stans keep paying $300+ for that $13 champagne cause jay fronted like it was the next cristal. At least the bottle is cool.

difference is curtis OWNS #SMS Promotions

having your own boxing promotion company >>>>> being a spokersperson for some sports agent firm

Having a boxing promotion company but being blackballed in the boxing game by the likes of al Haymon, and Bob Arum and not being able to secure any lucrative bouts for your fighters..:stopitslime:

SMS is a joke. Ownership is overrated, What's your business model, and if you think Jay don't have a business model to get money from this venture before he put his name on it you stupid.

This nikka said SMS:laugh:, do you even watch boxing?

which he owns less than 10% of.. Live Nation owns Roc Nation,
and the Sports Agency is owned by CAA...

but this nikka fronts like he's Steve Ballmer or Bill Gates :shaq2:

Where are you pulling your numbers from? Sounds like a reach to me. I think sources closer to what's going on can be more trusted than crabs on the internet who pull numbers out of nowhere.

A simple Google search would have saved you the embarrassment.

Jay-Z About To Sign $150 Million Deal With Live Nation: Report - Music, Celebrity, Artist News | MTV.com

The Times reported that the deal, expected to be finalized next week, would include financing for Jay-Z's own entertainment venture, as well as the rights to his recordings and tours for the next decade. The deal would provide money for a host of business ventures, which are expected to include a label, music publishing, talent consulting and management services.

According to the Times, Live Nation is expected to contribute $5 million a year in overhead for five years, plus $25 million to finance Jay-Z's acquisitions or investments on behalf of the new company, Roc Nation, which will split profits with Live Nation. The rapper will also reportedly get an upfront payment of $25 million, an advance of $25 million that includes fees for his current tour and advances of $10 million per album for a minimum of three albums during the deal's 10-year term. Another $20 million is included in the package in exchange for some publishing, licensing and other rights.

Sounds like Live Nation put up some money, gained it back & shares profits with Roc Nation. Don't see any indication of LN owning 90% such as what you're saying.

In regards to the Brooklyn Nets & Barclays Center

Shawn "Jay Z" Carter: Black Entrepreneurs, Black CEO, Black Executive, Black Billionaires, Entrepreneur Profile

The arena's most exclusive "Vault" suites, for which fans will have to shell out $550,000 a year to have access to, will offer patrons Armand de Brignac champagne. Jay-Z "promotes" and "holds a financial interest" in Armand de Brignac. His 40/40 sports bar/club will open a new location at the Barclays Center. Rocawear, his clothing line, will have a store at the arena. The Nets will employ advertising agency, Translation, which is half-owned by Jay-Z.

Continuing with the Nets, Barclays & RN Sports

Jay-Z Gets Into Sports Representation With Signing Of Robinson Cano - Forbes

Cano will become the first sports client of Roc Nation Sports, a sports agency that has partnered with Creative Artists Agency (CAA)

What Jay-Z's Robinson Cano Deal Means For His Nets Stake - Forbes

Why? Jay-Z’s representatives didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment, but it seems he may have converted the difference into equity in the Barclays Center. He owns now owns roughly one-fifth of one percent of the billion-dollar building.

Given that his remaining stake in the Nets is worth about $350,000—comprising less than 1% of Jay-Z’s net worth—it’s no longer a financially significant sum to the rapper or the team.

Jay-Z could easily sell his stake back to billionaire owner Mikhail Prokhorov or trade it for more equity in the arena itself. Either way, his existing interest in the Barclays Center would allow him to keep profiting from the Nets’ success while staying within the NBA’s rules. Knowing Jay-Z, that was probably his plan all along.

So....when broken down, it sounds like it's all partnerships....usually meaning at least close to an even split, I highly doubt he's just getting 10% of everything he's putting his name on.

In regards to Barclays Center, it seems he has more of an interest of how much he can gain from the entire arena than just the Brooklyn Nets.

Folks just look for a reason to hate or discredit instead of getting their own weight up.
