Maybe Im generalizing but it seems to me that Jay's music reaches out to west coast people more than Nas's.

Can a west coast head explain to me why this is the case? Something tells me that the reasoning is beyond just music.

The Forest Where Hope Died
The reason is simple.

One is a official nikka and the other isnt.

We dont be beating off to the lyrics of Illmatic knowing damn well that Nas hasnt lived what he raps about.

Jay actually put in work on the streets and hood nikkas can relate to his stories.

Nas is a street poet..he writes what he sees ..Jay Z is poet of the street,.big difference

I dont have any issues with Nas rapping about what he sees but when he goes beyond that and starts talking about living that lifestyle himself then we have a problem.

Maybe NY heads can overlook that due to their blind love for Nas but us guys dont respect that shyt.
