I generally find most Asian women's singing voices to be unappealing. Very limited in octaves. Amerie had this issue as well, her voice just wasn't full enough.

It's not that she can't sing she's just not a good performer. Singing in the studio and singing live are two totally different monsters. I remember when Mary J Blige sounded like shyt live. You just have to adjust. Rappers are no different. Most rappers can't perform with just the instrumentals or a hype man finishing their verses. Plus if you're performing with subpar equipment you can't hear yourself clearly.

Not making excuses for her but at the end of the day, there are only a select group of performers that have the chops to do live shows and kill it.
